Granola is great to use for cereal, trail mix, parfaits, or toppings. The bar form is a perfect snack to keep you satisfied or a yummy dessert.
Granola Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup oil (I use coconut oil)
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Mix dry ingredients together in one bowl and liquid ingredients in another, then mix it all together
Preheat oven to 300 degrees, spread the granola in thin layer on baking sheet(s)
Bake for 15 min, stir, then another 10 min or until golden brown
Cool completely, stirring so it doesn't stick together. It hardens as it cools.
Optional: stir in extras, like coconut flakes, dried fruit, or chopped nuts.
Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks
Granola Bars Ingredients
1 cups flour
4 1/2 cups oats
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp bkg soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups semi sweet choc chips
Directions
Press hard into pan, thin(ish)
Bake 325 degrees 18-22 min, press down before cool as it will be sort of puffy
When cool, cut into squares and wrap in plastic wrap/wax paper. Store in airtight container or freeze for longer.
