All purpose cream cheese recipe, adaptations galore
Ingredients
3 chicken breasts
1 8-oz package of cream cheese
1 jar of green chile sauce (10 oz)**
2-3 cups of rice
Directions:
Cook Chicken breasts in crock pot for 3+ hours on low
Shred the chicken after it is cooked, dump any extra water in the crock pot
Return the chicken to the crockpot and add the package of cream cheese, set on low for 20-30 minutes. (Letting the cream cheese soften while the chicken is cooking quickens the amount of time it melts in the crockpot.)
Add the jar of green chile sauce and mix the chicken, sauce, and cream cheese.
Put rice in rice cooker or instapot with proper ratio of rice and water.
Serve "chicken goop" over cooked rice
**can substitute green chile with anything you want. I've also used salsa, or an Italian seasoning package.
